Loyola School > Building > Labs

“My mind is my laboratory,” Einstein once famously said, but for the rest of us it is better to have brick and mortar laboratories where we may perform our scientific experiments and learn first-hand by observation.

Laboratories are very important in the overall learning and understanding of any subject. Only by doing and observing can students crystallize their fundamental understanding of any classroom theory – and that fundamental understanding then goes on to become the bedrock on which they will be able to build their understanding of more and more complex subjects later on in life.

Loyola has always had – and continues to have – good science and computer laboratories (soon to be renovated and re-equipped) where students are able to apply the basics of the theory taught in classrooms and find out for themselves what makes this world tick, and this has undoubtedly been an important factor in their success in life.
